100 Things I Learned Being a Photographer

I read an article on Digital Photography School entitled 100 Things I’ve Learned About Photography and the last item stated to make a 100 list. This actually got me thinking I should write one; you should too. Here’s mine:

  1. Buy the camera you need, not necessarily the one you want.
  2. Learn how to shoot in manual mode.
  3. Photograph a wedding and tell me good wedding photographers aren’t worth they’re asking price.
  4. Learn how to pose people.
  5. Use the Rule of Thirds

Boudoir Portraits – Intimate Art for Empowering Women

Boudoir photography was once referred to as taboo and categorized into the Playboy-esque realm of glamour photography. It was once popular opinion that taking photos in the nude or with minimal clothes was dirty, slutty and/or immoral. Others might say that no self-respecting woman would dare step in front of the camera ready to bare her body for a photographer. Times have changed and there’s more to boudoir photography than taking ‘sexy’ pictures.

Dr. Stephen Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, refers to the paradigm as our personal view of the world. Our views are molded by personal experiences, tales and fables, prejudice, education and many other factors. We build certain concepts within our minds and force an opinion with information we receive or experience.
